Job Title: Junior Network Engineer
Location: Coventry
Salary: £25K
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Network Engineer to join a fast-growing network services organisation based in Coventry. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background with a passion for networking and a keen interest in emerging technologies.
The role will involve using best practices to design, implement, and troubleshoot networks while providing technical support to internal and external customers. The successful candidate will also be responsible for network security, performance, and monitoring, as well as developing and documenting procedures for system maintenance and disaster recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks
* Provide technical support to internal and external customers
* Monitor network performance and security
* Develop and document procedures for system maintenance and disaster recovery
* Maintain a high level of customer service
* Identify and resolve network issues
* Carry out preventative maintenance on networked services
* Keep up to date with emerging technologies
Technical Skills Required:
* Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
* Good understanding of networking protocols and technologies
* Knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols
* Experience with network monitoring, security, and troubleshooting
* Experience with Windows Server, Cisco IOS, and other network operating systems
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
