About the Junior NPD Assistant - Up to 2 months FTC job
The purpose of your role will be to work closely with the NPD Manager, prepare and produce food as directed using modern methods, equipment, fresh food and convenience food commodities, including the production of fast-food items and unusual dishes.
Key tasks
- Ensure that all food prepared as samples are done so in a safe and hygienic manner whilst keeping abreast of food safety, health & safety COSHH and trading legislation and work with the rest of the team to comply when appropriate.
- Maintain sufficient stock levels of samples and of all raw materials and sundries used within development.
- Assist in the development of new food dishes using modern food technology and methods and follow these products from concept to launch and ensure all relevant paperwork is completed and filled in appropriately.
- Research of current food trends, consumer trends, high street brands, food shows and culinary tours as appropriate.
- Aid the sales team/NPD team in product presentations/food shows as required.
- Be involved in clearing, cleaning within the kitchen using approved products and prescribed methods.
About You
The successful candidate should have a love for food, and possibly have an interest in food development and processes with a food manufacturing career in mind.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work closely alongside team members for effective results.

The Junior NPD Assistant - Up to 2 months FTC job is based in Fife and is paying £23,000 to £25,000 according to your experience.
The working hours are Monday to Friday - Office Hours.
