Job Title – Junior PR Executive

Salary - £23,000 - £25,000 per annum

Who is our Client?

They are a well-established PR & Marketing company specialising in outdoor active lifestyle brands. They work with some of the most well-known brands in the outdoor sector putting on events, getting them into the media and working with influencers. They are a small and friendly team, looking for a fab Administrator to support the team and keep them organised due to business growth.

What you’ll be doing…

• Writing press releases, new product pieces, and website and social content.
• Pitch press releases and feature ideas to sector-specific media, as well as national, regional, and trade journalists across print and online.
• Responding to email requests from journalists.
• Monitoring media coverage and reporting results to the wider team, alongside our Admin.
• Handling social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X [previously Twitter], monitoring the account growth, and providing detailed analytic reports.
• Attending events, both trade and consumer.
• Brainstorming fresh ideas for PR campaigns.
• Managing influencer campaigns using influencer software, Woomio.
• Understanding changing trends (e.g social media and AI) and being able to present these changes to us during weekly team meetings.
• Assisting with the development of presentations.
• Maintaining and updating databases.

What we are looking for…

• Bachelor’s Degree is desirable
• One year experience in PR and/or marketing is desirable
• Full UK driving licence
• Copywriting skills: hot on spelling, grammar, proof-reading, as well as having a creative flair for producing engaging copy
• Presentation skills: from communicating ideas to your team, to presenting stories to journalists, you need to organise information in a succinct and interesting way to capture their attention
• Strong interpersonal skills: whether it’s over email, over Zoom, or in person, PR is all about people. You’ll need to be approachable, friendly, and empathetic, and be able to relate to people on different levels within the agency, with clients, and with the media
• Time keeping: you’ll often be working to deadlines, as well as meeting the demands and pressures of your team and clients. You’ll need to be able to work quickly and efficiently, without compromising on quality
• Adaptable: your role will change every day, so you’ll need to be confident, own your tasks, and be responsible for seeing a task through to the end with exceptional attention to detail
