Amazing opportunity for someone with an Engineering qualification or apprenticeship to join a growing business in the heart of Newcastle that is able to support them in advancing a career as a specialist Production Engineer.

This company have already established themselves as a key power service provider across the globe, they are now looking to expand their current site in Newcastle due to the high demand for their services, particularly in the power industry.

In this role you will be working within the company's production department, undertaking training in and then supporting with activities such as preparing shipments of power equipment, tracking project progress and monitoring quality for equipment & systems.

The ideal candidate will have completed an Engineering qualification or an apprenticeship in a discipline such as Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineer, and importantly they will be eager to learn and self-develop. Previous experience of working in a factory environment is also advantageous.

The Role:

• Preparing jobs for shipment, including painting, packing and providing weights & dimensions to the office to arrange shipment.
• Using vantage to update the project tracker to ensure that jobs are processed, ensuring there is zero delays.
• Receiving and actioning incoming RMA's, checking and recording things such as serial numbers, damage, missing parts etc
• Ensuring all work/tasks/procedures/documentation meet the requirements of quality systems and procedures

The Person:

• Qualified or apprenticeship-trained in Engineering discipline e.g Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing etc.
• Previous experience of working within a factory environment (desirable)
• Highly organized and excellent communication skills
• Proficient with IT systems, particularly with spreadsheets and Excel
