AddressElevation Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of a heavy manufacturing business based in East Yorkshire, who have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrical Engineer to join the team as a Junior Project Engineer. As Junior Project Engineer you will be: Project Planning: Develop project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Design and Engineering: Coordinate with design teams to develop electrical system designs, specifications, and drawings in compliance with all applicable codes and standards. Procurement: Source and procure necessary materials, equipment, and subcontractor services required for the project, ensuring they meet quality and budgetary requirements. Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare cost estimates and budgets for projects, monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Project Management: Oversee project execution, including scheduling, resource allocation, and task assignments. Track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely completion. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, contractors, vendors, and project teams to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project objectives. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that electrical systems are installed and commissioned according to specifications and industry standards. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific regulations, codes, and safety standards governing electrical installations and construction projects. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues, conflicts, and challenges encountered during project execution, employing sound engineering principles and creative problem-solving techniques. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project close-out documentation. Provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders as required. Commissioning and Testing: Support in the coordination and the commissioning, testing of electrical systems to verify functionality, performance, and compliance with project requirements. Training and Support: Support in the training and technical support to, clients, and end-users as needed to ensure proper operation and maintenance of electrical systems post-installation. To be considered for the Junior Project Engineer role you will need: A HNC in Electrical Engineering. Good understanding of current Electrical Engineering regulations & guidance. 18th Edition qualified. Experience with PLCs, drives and instrumentation systems is desirable. Previous experience in a Project Environment is desirable.
