We are currently seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to join our dynamic team at H&MV Engineering as a Junior Project Manager (HV Biased). Responsibilities:
- Assist Senior Project Manager in all aspects of project planning, execution, and control, ensuring timeliness, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to establish and maintain project schedules, resources, and budgets.
- Assist in developing detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones.
- Coordinate with engineering personnel to ensure technical specifications and designs are aligned with project requirements.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and proactively implement corrective actions to ensure successful project completion.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of project proposals, bids, and tenders.
- Support in managing project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and customer deliverables.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of project materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Assist in conducting regular project review meetings, including documentation of minutes, action items, and decisions.
- Proactively gather lessons learned from completed projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in project management within the HV engineering sector.
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of HV equipment, systems, and installation procedures.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, including CDM regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using project management software, Microsoft Office, and other related tools.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites throughout the UK.
- A proactive and adaptable attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
