Junior Project Manager - Nuclear

Your new companyYou will be joining an international consultancy who has an international workforce of 16,000 employees.The company brings together nuclear fuel cycle engineering expertise to serve the group's facilities and external customers. Its services range from Operational Support Engineering to full Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management (EPCM) missions. They work On the Nuclear fuel cycle; Mining, Uranium chemistry, Enrichment, Spent fuel recycling, Dismantling and Waste management. Including Non-fuel cycle Nuclear Engineering, New Builds, and other non-nuclear applications. They have 50 years' experience in the design, construction and operation of one-of-a-kind facilities.Your new roleAs a Junior Project Manager, you'll ensure an effective project delivery, striving to achieve established goals and objectives to time, cost and quality. The Project Manager role will be undertaken by a SQEP resource allowing a single point of management contact with customer.Responsibilities will include:

• Identifying needs that can be successfully addressed by projects
• Consult with the assigned Project Manager to seek guidance and input during the key phase of each project
• Implementing and maintaining effective integrated project execution strategies and plans
• Providing accurate and timely information and reports regarding the project status, activities and performance
• Liaising with customer Project Manager to create the overall strategy and subsequently plan delivery of the program and individual project packages in line with this
• Implementing and maintaining effective communication to the project team and stakeholders

Identifying and monitoring project risks (threats and opportunities) and planning and implementing response to these and responding to other issues that affect the projectWhat you'll need to succeedHave a degree in Project Management or relevant field with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Project Manager on a Nuclear site or highly regulated site. Understand the principles and practices of planning, risk and cost management at program and project levels. Have awareness of the stage-gate principles of project delivery. Understand the techniques for risk management. Able to initiate & learn to prioritise your own workload.Enthusiasm for working with people from all walks of life. Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.Understand the need for confidentiality.
