Junior Project Manager – 12 month contract
Day rate: £300+/day
Harvey Nash are recruiting for a Junior Project Manager for a public sector client. This role will be mainly hybrid working, requiring on average 1 day per week on site in Dundee, as well as additional presence required on an ad-hoc basis.
The rate for this role is £300+/day, and will require candidates hold the Right to Work in the UK, as well as a Basic Disclosure Scotland and BPSS.
This role will involve implementing changes in line with updated legislation. Key duties include:
- Scope, design and initiate key project workstreams to ensure that the organisation are ready to launch tested and fit for purpose processes and digital solutions when the legislation commences
- Working with the client’s existing digital estate and solutions, ensuring that external and internal stakeholder experience and views are built into design and realisation
- Communication and working with people – bringing together technical resources, subject experts and process teams within the organisation and outside contractors to deliver in line with programme requirements
- Monitor project status, when necessary revising the scope and schedule to ensure that project requirements can be met or escalating exceptions
Essential Skills
- Qualification as Prince 2 practitioner
- Experience of managing diverse project teams
- Identifying and managing project risk
- Experience of working with agile development of solutions
- Experience of programme and project benefit realisation
- Experience of writing, monitoring and updating project plans and documentation
Desirable Skills
- Experience in public sector procurement
