The Hawth Theatre in Crawley is looking for a Junior Marketing Assistant to join the Sales and Marketing team to provide support and assistance in generating box office income for the theatre’s programme of performances.

Duties of the role include

• assist in the design and production of marketing materials, digital resources, advertising and printing relevant to the promotion of shows and events at The Hawth and any other Parkwood Theatres venues as directed.

• monitor and update The Hawth website and social media accounts

• maintain and update marketing budgets

• assist in maintaining, fostering and developing contacts with local, regional and national press and media to promote coverage of activities and events at The Hawth.

The Person

• Able to build strong relationships with customers, clients and employees

• Has an interest in the arts industry

• An independent, positive approach to problem-solving

• Able to gain acceptance and respect from clients and the teams involved

• A high level of communication skills, both written and spoken

• Able to work as part of a team, but also on own initiative

• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise competing workloads

• Numeracy, literacy and IT skills appropriate to the successful fulfilment of the post
