Our client has been established for more than 35 years and are recognised market leaders in the design and development, manufacture and distribution of an impressive portfolio of electrical cabling and connection solutions for supply throughout the world, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth for 2024 and beyond, are now looking to recruit an articulate and enthusiastic Junior Sales Engineer / Product Specialist to complement the activities of the dynamic and professional Business Development Team.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the successful Product Specialist will be based in or around the M62 Corridor (so Huddersfield, Leeds and Manchester are viable) and responsible for helping to develop and increase sales of Identification & Labelling solutions across the Northern half of the UK, providing the highest levels of customer satisfaction and support in order to both identify new business opportunities and maximise existing relationships and to ensure customers benefit from the full portfolio of solutions and consumables available to them.
Working within the core values of the organisation at all times and visiting the Coleshill based Head Office on a quarterly basis, the successful Junior Sales Engineer candidate will undertake a range of duties and activities including (but not limited to):
- Providing the highest levels of printer and software technical support to customers either remotely or on site, understanding their requirements and identifying additional potential solutions to meet their needs
- Responding to email and telephone enquiries from new and existing customers and users of Identification and Labelling products.
- Completing data logs detailing queries received and resolutions achieved.
- Creating printed samples and jobs for customers and Sales Engineers.
- Identifying new target markets and applications of products, and researching these and identifying leads to be communicated to the Sales Engineers for follow up.
- Undertaking joint visits with the sales team to customer sites to provide in-depth demonstrations and training as well as attending trade shows as required.
- Training internal and external individuals on the usage and capabilities of the systems and ensuring the external sales team have consistent and up to date knowledge of products as well as associated hardware and software.
To be considered for this genuinely exciting and varied Junior Sales Engineer opportunity it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be qualified to at least A Level or above with at least 1 year of commercial experience gained within a customer facing servicer environment.
Experience of working within a manufacturing environment will prove distinctly advantageous, as would exposure to SAP and ERP platforms, and you will demonstrate a good working knowledge and understanding of the use of the Microsoft Suite of packages.
** As a minimum of 80% of this role involves travel to customer sites throughout the northern half of the UK - it is ESSENTIAL that the successful candidate holds a full UK driving licence and is able to travel extensively as required **
