We are currently recruiting a Junior Setting out Engineer based in London.
What the job involves, its roles and duties.
The Junior Setting Out Engineer will assist the Setting Out Engineer in Setting Out the works in accordance with the design and he/she will have responsibility for the following site duties.
Report to the Setting Out Engineer / Project Manager on all aspects related to Setting Out and record keeping.
Assist the Setting Out, levelling and surveying of the site. Mapping and surveying and responsibility for the digital computation, recording and reporting of data / statistics.
Supervision of materials and ensuring relevant documentation is compliant.
Ensure detailed site diaries/records are completed.
Ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through regular quality inspections with sub-contractors.
Assisting with the resolution of technical / engineering problems.
Examine the design information with the PM/ Setting Out Engineer, to ensure plans and drawings are accurate and achievable.
Assist in the production of as built records.
Assist the Setting Out Engineer with producing ITP's and ensure they are signed off by relevant parties.
Along with the Setting Out Engineer ensure that the QA File is produced and maintained.
Requirements: Any experience and/or education requirements.
Minimum 1 years construction experience.
Knowledge of instruments such as total station
Good working knowledge of CDM regulations.
Problem solving and analytical thinking.
Good organisational skills
