Junior Software QA Analyst

A fantastic opportunity for a QA Analyst to work for a Health-Tech software company, which is making technological advances and solutions that help the NHS. Having grown to almost 100 people, they are looking to bring on a QA Analyst to ensure that software products are fully functional and fit for purpose. This will involve maintaining and executing test plans and systems aligned with the strategy for the Software Development lifecycle.

Location: Ipswich - a village just outside (ideally you will be able to drive but public transport options are available). You will be required to work on-site in the office 2 days a week.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum + benefits

Requirements for Junior Software QA Analyst:

• You will either be an experienced QA/Test Engineer or be enthusiastic about the idea of a career in Software QA Engineering
• A comprehensive grasp of Software QA responsibilities and tasks - this will likely come from a STEM degree in a computing-related discipline or commercial experience in the technical field
• Familiarity with desktop, web, and mobile app architecture and design principles
• High attention to detail - you will be creating meticulous test documents including test plans, test cases, scripts, and reports derived from scoping documents and user stories
• Commitment to precision and thoroughness, demonstrating conscientiousness and proactive initiative
• A firm commitment to delivering high-quality products to customers
• Capable of both independent work and effective teamwork
• Demonstrates exceptional self-motivation and discipline, adept at managing time, prioritizing tasks, and handling multiple responsibilities
• Possesses diplomatic, innovative, and reliable qualities, along with strong communication skills at all organizational levels
• Any experience across various methodologies would be beneficial (Waterfall, Agile, Kanban)

Responsibilities for Junior Software QA Analyst:

• Develop, update, and actively participate in the execution of test plans aligned with scope-driven development strategies.
• Investigate, document, and monitor the retesting process for identified bugs and defects.
• Contribute to the coordination of testing efforts, facilitating communication among development teams and end users.
• Collaborate with the QA team to scrutinize scoping documents, ensuring alignment from initial conception to end-user stories while identifying requirements and potential omissions.
• Assist in maintaining clear and precise test records to support ongoing testing activities.
• Conduct thorough post-implementation reviews based on predefined success criteria.
• Generate comprehensive testing status reports to keep stakeholders informed.
• Collaborate with QA colleagues to establish, refine, and evaluate acceptance criteria for release deliverables.
• Utilize Application Insights data analysis to pinpoint opportunities for continuous improvement within the application.
