SANTINO, 14 London Road Kilmarnock are looking for a Junior Sous Chef, who has a passion for fresh ingredients and superb dishes with Italian American flavours and influence.
As a Junior Sous Chef, you will be responsible for supporting the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food that is in line with our standards. To be eligible for this role, you will need to have at least 1.5 years experience working in a similar position and possess knowledge of a professional kitchen.
The position is full time & part time and you must be able to work evenings & weekends.
- Prepare, cook and present food as per kitchen spec, including staff meals.
- Ensure correct portion control as instructed by Head Chef
- Operate and clean equipment correctly and safely, adhering to maintenance and cleaning schedules
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and tidy at all times
- Support junior members of the team
- Control the security of company stock and property
- Adhere to all regulations in respect of Health, Safety, Hygiene, Guest Safety, Fire Regulations, Emergency Procedures etc.
