Junior Sportswear Designer

Location: Coventry

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum

The Role

As a Junior Fashion Designer and Co-ordinator based in Coventry, you will be an integral part of their mission. Your responsibilities include planning and designing innovative, premium product collections across various categories. From initial concept to the final product, you'll ensure the seamless execution of designs. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the production team for trend, colour, product, and fabric research across various channels.
  • Source fabrics and trims, manage trackers, and oversee key critical path dates.
  • Work closely with the International Sales Manager and the wider product team to design and develop collection ranges.
  • Create thumbnail designs and detailed design packs for manufacturing partners.
  • Conduct thorough sample measurements and reviews based on sizes, quality, and additional details.
  • Assist in communicating accurate product details to other teams within Operations and Marketing.
  • Conduct quality and inventory checks for bulk shipments.
  • Follow up on deliveries, monitor delivery times, and update the catalogue and website with the latest products and information.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ industry experience with multi-product exposure.
  • Strong understanding of the design and development process, with critical path management experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with a global supply base.
  • Fabric knowledge and sourcing with strong commercial awareness.
  • Proficient with tech: Excel/Google Sheets/Docs/Drive/Monday.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
