Junior Category Manager
£30,000 - £33,000+ Bonus
Remote must be able to commute to HQ in Coventry monthly.

Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing company that prides itself on innovation, quality, and a commitment to excellence. We are seeking a highly motivated Category/Supplier Manager to join their busy team and drive the success of their product portfolio.
As a Category Manager, you don’t need lots of experience at a similar level however 12 months experience is necessary.
You will play a key role in managing and optimising product categories, ensuring a strategic and profitable assortment that meets the needs of customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyse market trends, and implement effective strategies to maximise sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Category Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy aligned with overall business objectives, including assortment planning, pricing, and promotional activities.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences. Utilise data-driven insights to make informed decisions regarding product assortment and positioning.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms, secure exclusive products, and ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
  • Financial Management: Take ownership of the category's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of category strategies. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop impactful campaigns and promotions.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Monitor product life cycles, assess inventory levels, and recommend appropriate actions to optimize stock levels and minimize obsolescence.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks within the category, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
