I am looking for 5 keen & enthusiastic individuals with some hands on electronic/engineering experience to take on what is essentially is a paid 6-month training programme which will see you transition into a fully fledged Test Technician working on secret government programmes ????
This role is 5 days a week, on site in Rochester &, you will need to have completed a minimum BTEC/NVQ Level 2 in Engineering & Electronics and have lived in the UK for 5 years or more.
Interviews for these roles will take place W/C 25th March & the start date for these roles is W/C 17th June.
A little more about the training scheme;
You will join the scheme as a trainee technician & spend six months learning in four different manufacturing areas. You'll also receive tuition in running a test, use of test equipment and some fundamentals of video signals and interfaces.
For most of the six months training, you will be learning on section, with colleagues to tutor/coach you. You will be testing product under supervision, gradually moving to diagnosing faults. You will learn hand skills and if adept may also be changing defective components at some stage. You will be using electronic aids and gradually interpreting specifications.
The Test Technician team:
This role will provide you with the opportunity to utilise your current qualifications and experience to develop into a fully-fledged Technician, and work with high technology products such as Pilots Helmets, Head up Displays, Flight Control Computers, Sticks and Throttles.
