Responsibilities within your new role as Junior Transport Planning Coordinator

The key responsibilities include reviewing outstanding orders in the transport management system and planning daily vehicle movements. This involves consolidating orders to maximise vehicle fill and minimise empty mileage. Accurate data entry into the system is essential, along with producing, completing, and distributing the daily trunk schedule. Timely management of weekend helpdesk calls is crucial to minimise escalations. Additionally, assisting the team with various duties and providing quality operational data and KPIs are important aspects of the role.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

To be successful as the Junior Transport Planning Coordinator you should have a keen interest and experience in logistics, transport administration or customer service. The ability to quickly learn and understand the company's transport management system and processes, and excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and hauliers are essential. Proficiency in MS Office applications is essential. Additionally, a driving license is required due to the office location.
