Opportunity to work on critical defence projects in a modelling & test environment EW countermeasures development, Engineering support, innovation and research, project, training and bid delivery and support.
Develop knowledge of the operations of weapons systems, defensive systems and the technology behind them.
Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Electronics - Experience Synthetic testing/Equipment testing facilities desirable, Matlab/Simulink, basic understanding of RF/IR principles.
Provide support to Configuration of test scripts, Operation of models, Formulate and understand complex mathematical algorithms and their implementation, or maintenance, in software models using a range of languages. The provision of innovative ideas in respect to model operation and simulation. Liaising with customers in a professional manner, as required. Running tests and recording data. Unit test of assigned items to ensure conformance of the item with its designed specification. Creating and debugging scripts, while adhering to appropriate coding standards or agreed standards. Operations of Synthetic Testing Hardware and software. Setup of equipment and software prior to testing and tear down activities after testing. Trial planning. Implementation of assigned items, including documentation to relevant standards. Undertake other tasks to support the team where required.
