Justice Assistant – 6 Months – Inside IR35 – Livingston
Day Rate – Circa £120
Harvey Nash’s public sector client are currently looking to recruit a Justice Assistant to join their team based In Livingston for an initial 6 month period. Successful candidates must be happy to go to the Livingston office daily.
Assignment Description:
The role of Justice Assistant is an integral part of Justice Services. The purpose of the role is to undertake operational aspects of assessments and service provision to a range of justice service users and partners. Additionally, the post holder will provide individual support and guidance to service users where this is assessed as required and deliver these services in accordance with current legislation and Council policies, procedures and standards.
Essential Criteria
- Significant previous experience of direct service user contact in a Health, Social Care, or Justice setting.
- Ability to work constructively with difficult and challenging people using authority appropriately.
- Proven experience of working in partnership with other services.
- Ability to understand and work within legislative and procedural frameworks.
- Ability to communicate to a high standard in written and verbal form.
Desirable Criteria
- HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Social Care; HNC/SVQ for Health Support Workers or other relevant qualification at a similar or higher level is desirable.
- Experience of working with those who offend.
- Previous experience of working with confidential materials.
- Ability to understand strategic significance of work and impact on wider community.
- An understanding of the need to work within allocated financial resources.
- Experience of meeting performance targets.
Required Level of Clearance
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment.
