Job description

Job Title:Kanban Facilitator (Manufacturing)

Join our client's dynamic team as a Kanban Facilitator and play a crucial role in driving the kanban process behaviour in both assembly and backshop areas. In this temporary-to-permanent role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our client's operations while enjoying a hourly rate starting from £12.02.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure thorough adherence to card and trolley triggers in order to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with Planning to return cards and report any missing cards promptly.
  • Maintain accurate distribution of new cards as they are issued.
  • Serve as the communication bridge between assembly, material team, and backshops, ensuring seamless information flow.
  • Expedite 'urgent' part requirements between backshop areas to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
  • Flag potential shortages to the area Team Leader, promoting proactive problem-solving and preventing disruptions.
  • Support root cause shortage reason investigation, evaluating triggers and accuracy to continuously improve processes.
  • Collaborate with Team Leader and Engineers to address bottleneck concerns and implement effective solutions.
  • Verify part numbers and check discrepancies, such as damaged or unmarked parts, in received materials.
  • Efficiently distribute materials to specified production areas, utilising manual methods or suitable equipment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
