We are currently seeking a passionate Year 5 Teacher to join our fantastic 2-form entry, Ofsted rated ‘good’ school for the upcoming Summer Term!

Position: Year 5 Teacher 

Location: Birmingham 

Contract: Full-time, Summer Term initially, potentially turning permanent in September 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that cater to the needs of Year 5 students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall school curriculum.
• Engage with parents to ensure a strong home-school partnership.

Curriculum Planning and Delivery:

• Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans for Year 5 students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and create a stimulating learning environment.

Classroom Management:

• Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a respectful and supportive learning environment.

Assessment and Reporting:

• Regularly assess student progress through formative and summative assessments.

• Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate progress to parents through reports and parent-teacher conferences.

Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to align teaching strategies and share best practices.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall planning and development of the Year 5 curriculum.

Parental Engagement:

• Foster positive relationships with parents through effective communication.

• Engage parents in their child's learning journey, providing regular updates on academic and social development.

Professional Development:

• Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of educational trends.
• Reflect on teaching practices and seek continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching Year 5/ Upper Key Stage 2
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Passion for creating an inspiring and dynamic learning environment.

Job Title: Year 5 Teacher - Full Time

Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - candidates lacking the required experience will not be considered for the role

Experience: 6+ Months school experience is essential - candidates lacking the required experience will not be considered for the role

Salary: Paid to scale  

Hours: Full Time/ 8:15 – 4.00 / Monday to Friday

Location: Yardley, Birmingham, West Midlands, United Kingdom
