The position:

Key Stage One Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Location: St. Albans,

Contract: Full-time, fixed-term (covering maternity leave)

Start Date: April 2024

Pay: Weekly, MPs1 to MPs6

Key Stage One Teacher Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in line with the Key Stage One curriculum, fostering a love of learning amongst our students.
• Provide a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment where children feel encouraged to explore, question, and grow.
• Develop strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Monitor and assess students' progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and implementing necessary support or challenge strategies.
• Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extra-curricular activities, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Key Stage One curriculum, ideally in a UK primary school (ECTs are also encouraged to apply)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Key Stage One curriculum, assessment strategies, and pedagogical approaches.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for teaching and an ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
