Key Stage One/Early Years FoundationStage Teacher

Permanent Full Time

Required from September 2024

This is a unique and rare opportunity to join a school with a very little staff turnover. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher to join our friendly, hardworking and supportive team from September 2024.

Larkfields Infant School is a happy and successful school which has been part of the East Midlands Academy Trust since November 2018. We are situated just off Junction 26 of the M1 on the edge of the Watnall, Nuthall and Kimberley border. The school has a two-form intake which ensures high levels of staff support and collaboration.

At its last Ofsted it was judged to be good and has maintained high levels of achievement. Pupils’ behaviour is exemplary and their love and enjoyment of school is evident through their self-conduct. Parents and the local community think highly of the school.

Larkfields Infant School provides a rich and varied curriculum with lots of opportunities for children to learn and experience success in many developmentally appropriate ways. Larkfields Infant’s is a friendly and caring school which prides itself on the strong ethos of belonging and the relationships it fosters with children and their families.

We welcome applications from teachers who are passionate about early education and are committed to providing the highest standards of teaching and professionalism. This role is suitable for an ECT or an experienced teacher.

Visits to the school are encouraged. Please telephone on 0115 9137730 or email office@larkfieldsinfant.org where we are able to discuss the role in more detail with you.

On the application form, please focus on a detailed 'supporting statement' taking into account the person specification and indicating why you would be the best person for us to recruit to this position.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Safeguarding checks will be undertaken during the recruitment process and this may include online searches.
