We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our culinary staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats
- Help with cooking tasks such as grilling, baking, and frying
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify the chef when items need to be restocked
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient workflow in the kitchen
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with the kitchen team
