Kitchen Assistant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our chefs in meal preparation, food safety, dishwashing and a variety of other kitchen operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience in the hotel and restaurant business.

You may be required to work between our two hotels in Montrose.

Duties:
- Assist in basic food preparation.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Dish and pot-washing. - Organise and store stock deliveries, ensuring all items are properly labelled.
- Work closely with our chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Assist with catering events as needed.

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Skills:
- Cooking skills
