A locally owned hospitality group with serious aspirations, there couldn’t be a more exciting time to join Zen Group. We own 4 of Durham’s most popular and exciting venues; Zen, Tango, The Rabbit Hole and Whitechurch. We are investing and expanding. Along with recently acquiring Whitechurch Durham, we have relocated Tango to a brand new venue and renovated The Rabbit Hole. We are passionate about our venues and our people and are investing in both.

What We Need…

We value candidates that are hard working, flexible, good communicators and happy to contribute to the day-to-day tasks of an energetic working kitchen.

Your role will include deliveries and stock rotation, general and heavy cleaning of all kitchen and food prep areas and operation/upkeep/preventative maintenance of kitchen equipment and machinery.

Our Kitchen Porters support our line chefs, sous chefs and head chefs in order to make sure food service operates as efficiently as possible by keeping our kitchens clean and in order for the day ahead.

Your hours of work will be concentrated early in the morning, and therefore the ability to get into work before public transport is operational must be factored in to your decision to apply for the role, as you must be able to make your own way into work, outside of public transport operating hours.

Salary: £8.60-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
