Kitchen Porter

The Role
Jancett Childcare are seeking a Kitchen Porter. They are looking for someone who is hard working and willing to support the kitchen team. You should have the ability to work quickly and effectively. The ideal person will have good communication skills and be able to follow instructions well.
Your tasks will include:
· Dishwashing using an industrial dishwasher
· Organising deliveries
· Waste removal and emptying bins
· End of day cleaning of Pot Wash area
· Equipment maintenance
· Following instructions
· Ensuring a safe kitchen working environment for all to work in
· Maintaining kitchen organisation
· Assistance with basic food preparation
The Hours & Salary
The salary is £10.50 per hour
Days and hours of work, Monday to Friday – between 10.30am and 3pm, however there will be occasions when overtime will be available

About You
· Some kitchen experience would be desirable
. Must hold or be willing to obtain Level 2 Food Safety certificate
· You should be a helpful person who can work independently but also with the kitchen team
· You should be active and enjoy working in a kitchen environment,
· Be professional and organised at all times
· Be approachable, friendly, supportive and flexible
· Have good communication skills both verbal and written
· Demonstrate good timekeeping and attendance
· You will need to have an enhanced DBS (speak to our HR team about this)
