Kitchen Porter
We are looking for hard working and dedicated kitchen porters to join our enthusiastic kitchen team. This role is the back bone of any efficient kitchen and as The Idle Rocks Kitchen Porter you will be responsible for assisting other kitchen staff but your primary duties would be cleaning the kitchen, equipment and organising food and other items in the stockroom. As Kitchen Porter your main responsibilities will be:

Job purpose for Kitchen Porter
Responsibilities
· To cultivate the understanding of our Restaurant throughout the hotel, team and local community.
· Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitized.
· Sweep and mop floors at the beginning and ending of shifts.
· Be ready to clean up spills to avoid hindering operations.
· Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery fast to keep them in rotation.
· Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries.
· Keep the food and supply storage areas organized.
· Take out any rubbish and waste.
· Help with routine food prep tasks (such as peeling and chopping vegetables) when needed.
· Could be required to drive the Milk Float, to remove waste to main waste area.
· Ensure that all waste is separated.
· To be present in the kitchen during all required services, to provide support for the team.
· To understand the importance creating a good working environment to enable the team to meet the standards required.
· Maintaining high standards of hygiene, uniform and health and safety at all times.
