HMP Fosse Way is a new state of the art Category C Prison holding up to 2000 prisoners.
We have an opening for a Stores Supervisor to join our Catering team.
The key purpose of this role is to ensure all catering deliveries are checked put away, stock rotated and all catering store areas are kept clean and tidy, To assist the Head Chef in the preparation of menu items for the prisoners to produce to the daily menu. To collate and produce orders for delivery the following week and to carry out monthly stock takes.
At all times, the Catering Stores Manager will act as a positive role model to all prisoners treating all with whom he/she meets respect and decency.
Other duties include:
Check deliveries against purchase orders and highlight any problems.
Dealing with stock invoice queries
Monitoring stock movement within the catering department
To assist the catering manager in all aspects of running the kitchen
What you need to do the job:
This is an opportunity for an individual who would like to work as part of a busy and fast paced catering team.
The role requires attention to detail, good communication skills both verbally and written. It is important that the successful candidate has good IT skills.
Furthermore, the role is physically demanding as there is lifting of boxes containing heavy food items daily.
The role requires good organisation and the ability to work as part of a team and individually where required.
