This market leading international practice is seeking a Knowledge Lawyer to support its Tier 1 Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency team and make a meaningful contribution to the firm's client offering.

The team acts for multi-national corporations, financial institutions and governments and carries out the full range of contentious and non-contentious insolvency work on behalf of debtors, sponsors, par lenders, distressed investors, liquidity providers and insolvency practitioners.

Role and Responsibilities

The role typically includes the following:

Supporting fee-earners in all aspects of their transactional work and client relationships, ensuring accurate, relevant and up to date information and tools are available within the restructuring and insolvency group.Preparing client facing materials to increase the profile of the restructuring group and the firm.Preparing client and internal updates and webinars, answering internal enquiries, producing knowledge materials and creating guidance using legal skills developed through experience in restructuring and insolvency and general banking transactions.Identifying the impact of restructuring and insolvency developments for the restructuring group and on other practice areas and updating firm-wide resources as required.Considering law reform proposals and responding to government consultations.Producing, managing and updating knowledge and standard form documents and transaction precedents.Organising and delivering training for restructuring fee earners.Assisting with BD campaigns, liaising with BD to implement the restructuring group's client engagement strategy.Reviewing and updating restructuring group's website page.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

Be a senior lawyer with at least 5 years PQE and with restructuring and insolvency experience.Have worked successfully as an associate or Knowledge Lawyer / senior Knowledge Lawyer in a bank or law firm.Be able to handle multiple tasks at any one time and prioritise.Have excellent technical skills, with a strong interest in the commercial and legal issues relating to restructuring and insolvency.Demonstrate strong commercial/business acumen with the ability to deliver creative and pragmatic solutions and adviceHave the ability to work hard within a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels.
