The Candidate
As a KS2 Academic Coach, you will have at least a bachelor’s degree and some understanding of young learners and their education. You will have a passion for the learning of pupils aged 7-11 and a drive to help and support them in their progression. Previous experience of working alongside children, or in a school setting, is advantageous but not essential. A friendly personality and an enthusiasm for building strong bonds with KS2 pupils is mandatory.
 
The Role
In your KS2 Academic Coach role, you will support pupils in a 1-2-1 and small group basis to aid them as they progress through the national curriculum and approach their SAT examinations. You will use your knowledge to guide students through classwork and address questions and queries that they may have. You will be responsible for monitoring pupil progress and adapting learning materials to suit each individual’s unique needs.
 
The School
This one-form entry primary school is looking for a KS2 Academic Coach to assist teaching staff in lessons as they embark on a mission to raise the attainment and achievement of the school and its pupils, and push all students to achieve their full potential in their SAT examinations.
