KS2 Individual Needs Assistant - Brighton & Hove, East Sussex. Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant and interested in a new role supporting a Year 3 child 1:1? Do you have SEN experience and knowledge and understanding of the KS1 and 2 curriculum? Apply now Supply Desk are looking for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work with a child or several children on a 1:1 basis. A Teaching Assistant/INA with SEN experience is essential to support the child's or children's development, adapting teaching and learning activities to meet their additional needs and support an effective and engaging learning environment. First Aid or Medical experience would be useful for this role, but training would be given upon a successful induction. The school has a fantastic team to support the INA in being successful in the role. The position is a Full Time, Long Term role which enables you to develop positive relationships with the children and staff. INA Job Description: - To nurture the child's social and emotional development - To stimulate the child's individual interests through playing and learning opportunities - To manage the child's behaviour through positive relationships and consistent boundaries - To supervise the child's health and safety in the learning environment and respond to First Aid incidents. - To support the child's development in Phonics, Literacy and Maths - To support the class teacher during teaching and learning activities What do you need to succeed in this INA role? SEN experience Paediatric First Aid training or medical experience desirable The ability to build strong working relationships with staff and pupils. A patient and understanding approach. Engaging, fun and dynamic. A genuine passion for SEND. Good communication skills. Local to Brighton & Hove, East Sussex or able to travel.
