Job description

Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN /HLTA's/tutors/teachers.

We are currently recruiting for a KS2 LSA.

This is to support provision with a Student based in Beck Row, Bury St Edmunds. Support in Math, English is required. This student has been diagnosed with Autism so previous SEN experience is required.

  • Location - Beck Row, Bury St Edmunds
  • Position - 2:1 LSA
  • Start date - ASAP
  • End date - Ongoing - Definitly until the end of the academic year, with potential of being extended.
  • Contract type - Temporary
  • Hours - 5 hours per day - 3 days per week (Tues, Wed and Thurs)
  • Rate of pay - £23 per hour
  • Term Time Only
  • During School Hours Only

We are looking for candidates who are:-

  • Available during school hours up to 30 hours per week.
  • Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
  • Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD
  • Exceptional behaviour management strategies.
  • Prepared to work face to face within the community.

Requirements

  • Background teaching in English, Maths, Science or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS5.
  • Two years' experience working in an educational support role (LSA/TA)
  • Experience working with ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs.
  • 2 years previous experience working within a UK school.
