A Primary School based in PRESTON (Lancashire) are looking to recruit a KS2 Primary Teacher to take on a full time classroom responsibility from 19th February 2024 to the end of the academic year. This position has become available due to the permanent staff member going on maternity leave.
Note: this position is open to both Fully Qualified Teachers and Early Career Teachers.
Breakdown of details:
- Rate of pay: £100-£196.25 per day (rates are competitive)
- Working hours: 08:30 - 15:30
- 5 days a week
The School:
This is a small sing-form entry Primary School based in PRESTON. Rated 'GOOD' by their most recent Ofsted, this school maintain a ratio 1:25 of Teacher to pupil. Pupil behaviour is generally good across the whole school and the Year 5 class has 27 children in the class. There is also a general Teaching Assistant (level 3) in the class who will work co-operatively with you to help hand out materials and ensure pupils are working towards academic goals. They will also cover the class during your allocated PPA time.
Workload:
As the Teacher of the Year 5 class for a term-long position, this role will include taking the responsibility of marking and preparing lessons for the class. To assist a smooth transition from the current Teacher, a learning and progress record for each pupil will be given, along with access to the shared school driver. This will offer a range of materials to help plan lessons.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
