The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership is a highly successful Multi Academy Trust (MAT) encompassing 6 secondary schools, 16 primary schools, 1 all-through school, a Teaching School Hub, and School Centred Initial Teacher Training provider.  Our schools are based in North Birmingham, Tamworth, Lichfield, North Warwickshire and Coventry.

KS3 Nurture and Transition Teacher

Full Time, Permanent

Required for January 2025 or sooner

The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership has an exciting new role for a Key Stage 3, Nurture and Transition Teacher based the Bridge Academy.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who wishes to make a critical difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable young people in our district. The KS3, Nurture and Transition Teacher is a new role and will play a key role in the growth and development of the Bridge Academy. For the right candidate this is a unique opportunity to develop a bespoke and unique curriculum suitable for an alternative provision.

The Bridge caters for students from Key Stages 1 to 4 who have been permanently excluded from school, suffer with medical conditions including anxiety and it also offers short programs for students who are presenting challenging behavior in their mainstream settings. As part of the role the KS3 lead will co-ordinate the offer for the intervention placements and will liaise with home schools through the reporting and review process.

We would welcome applications from candidates with mainstream or special experience as we are seeking somebody who has the character, initiative and flexibility to meet the needs of our young people. The ideal candidate will understand the link between wellbeing and attainment combined with importance of relationships.

Hours:Full time, Permanent

Location:This role will be based at The Bridge Academy, Wissage Road, Lichfield, Staffordshire WS13 6SW
