Location: GSK, Cobden Street, Montrose, Angus, Scotland, DD10 8EA We have an exciting opening within in our Labs Stream to support our Pharmaceutical client in Montrose. Our Lab Support Technician Role offers an introduction to the world of laboratory instrumentation.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Lab Support Technician will be responsible for ensuring reduced downtime of instrumentation and completing various tasks across the site to support the analysts in releasing the product. The tasks include but are not limited to:

• Sub Contractor management
• Instrument repairs and maintenance specifically in HPLC & GC
• Lab Consumables inventory management
• Cryogenic Refills
• Glassware Management
• Waste Management
• Sample Disposals

What we are looking for...

The successful candidate will be required to maintain a good relationship with the client, ensuring that Planned & Reactive Maintenance is completed within the specified time frames and supporting supply chain with contract renewals. Therefore the successful candidate will have the following:

• Educated to Degree level in a Science discipline (Preferably Chemistry)
• Experience as an operator in HPLC & GC with good knowledge or preferably experience in troubleshooting & maintenance of chromatography systems.
• Experience with SAP and Empower would be advantageous
• 1year+ experience working in a GxP laboratory environment
• The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, hardworking, customer-focused, and possess strong organizational skills.

This role would be great for an experienced analyst looking to take their first step into instrument maintenance, the role will be hands on working across several labs on the site.
