Lab Technician (Materials)

A leading and successful provider of Materials Testing are currently seeking multiple Materials Lab Technicians to join the team on a temp to perm basis. Ideal if you’re looking to make your first step into a scientific career in physical/materials testing.

Role Overview

• Conduct sample preparation and physical testing activities of materials.
• Processing and breaking down of Materials Samples such as concrete, soils and aggregates.
• Labelling of samples and recording data in line with regulations and QA guidelines.
• Role involves significant physical activity, including manual handling up to 20kgs.
• Monday-Friday 07:30-16:30 (40 hours per week).

Requirements

• Driving Licence essential.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior experience in a laboratory/scientific/relevant environment highly beneficial.
• A Degree or qualification in a scientific discipline is highly beneficial but not essential.
• Must be highly motivated and reliable.
• Must be based a commutable distance from site and available immediately.
