Laboratory Manager

Acorn by Synergie is searching for a Laboratory Manager to join their client, a geotechnical testing business based in Penrith, Cumbria.The purpose of the role is to plan and drive the full operations of the laboratory.Duties and responsibilities of the role include:Manage business operation including Supply chain management, HR and sales and marketingRecruit, train and promote staff.Oversee QC and QA measures.Integrate policies and procedures of the company into business unit operations.Initiate, Plan, Execute, Monitor and review business project activities and ensure their completion within a scheduled period and budget.Oversee new marketing strategies for marketing and monitoring QC and QA measures.Build effective relationship with the clients to sustain revenue.Pricing jobs and delivering quotes.Analyse and explore market trends, identifying fresh opportunities and Set the business unit's strategies for promotional activities.It is essential the successful candidate has previous experience working in similar within construction material testing. Knowledge of ISO 17025 accreditation.Hours of work are Monday to Friday 40hrsSalary is dependent on knowledge and experience to offerAcorn by Synergie acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
