SalaryRare opportunity for an accomplished wet chemistry Scientist to establish and lead a brand-new laboratory facility!
Partnering with a leading research institution, you will be instrumental in establishing a brand-new contract testing facility specialising in wines & spirits analysis. In this state-of-the-art laboratory you will be appointed at management level and will be actively involved in setting up instrumentation including method validation as well as the implementation of quality guidelines for UKAS accreditation.
Holding a high level of accountability for general laboratory conduct and ensuring departmental targets are met, you will hold responsibility for day-to-day team management including development, training and recruitment of a small group of Analysts. Also working within the laboratory, you will undertake a vast array of wines & spirits testing, including sensory analysis (for which training can be provided) for the detection of contaminants and taints.
Applications are welcomed from Senior Scientists/Supervisors who have a strong background in Wet Chemistry testing from an ISO 17025 facility. You must have a flair for motivating and developing a small team, and enthusiasm for contributing to the success of this brand-new venture.
