Our Scotland based client is currently looking for a Laboratory / Quality Manager to oversee the management of a busy inorganic / metals UKAS accredited laboratory.
Duties for this position will include :

• Managing a team of Analysts using analytical and wet chemistry techniques, including XRF spectrometry
• Supporting the training and supervision of on-site Analysts, developing their skills and abilities in analysis and result interpretation as required
• Providing technical support and trouble shooting of methods / instrumentation
• Attending production meetings as and when required
• Creating methods and SOPs
• Ensuring all activities are conducted in relation to UKAS 17025 and H&S standards

Applications are invited from candidates with a BSc / MSc in Chemistry / Metallurgy or related subject, together with previous suitable experience of working in a busy UKAS metals / inorganic laboratory environment
This is a permanent position offering an attractive salary (depending on skills and experience)
