Additional: 25 days holiday (rising to 30) + BH, enhanced company sick pay scheme,
Hours:
Chemistry role TL : 08.00-17.00 Mon to Friday
Contaminants TLl: 08.30 - 17.00 Tues to Fri & 8.30 - 17.00 Sat
Our Client, a global testing company are looking to recruit for their contaminants and chemistry laboratories & are looking for candidates with excellent management skills to progress into a Team Leader role whilst utilizing their laboratory expertise too.
The role:
• Actively organising and managing workload to ensure targets are met.
• Performing sample analysis and sample preparation whilst reporting results effectively
• Checking results and ensuring they are approved
• Working to associated QMS (UKAS 17025) standards and ensuring staff are adhering to these standards
• Providing 1-1 sessions with group members
• Monitoring time keeping, absence and behaviour, highlighting any concerns to the management team.
The Person:
• The ideal candidate will hold a degree in a relevant / scientific discipline
• Previous / demonstrable leadership/ management experience.
• Strong attention to detail, being able to work on own initiative.
• Ability to work and lead in a fast pace setting.
• The ideal candidate will have previous lab experience- essential for the Chemistry position.
