My client is based in Henstridge, Somerset , and manufactures fertiliser for the amenity and horticultural markets. They currently supplying into 26+ countries and are looking for a Lab technician to join their busy team
They have an accumulating number of tests needing to be carried out, and it is beyond their present capacity to get these done.
Besides this they will need some help in doing other testing of various kinds as the situation evolves.
The testing needs to be carried out reliably and faithfully, with rigorous recording and execution of the analysis. Some level of reporting, and summarising will also be needed.
The work is by its nature repetitive, so a good tolerance of the routine is required.
This person will have some experience in performing analytical testing in wet laboratory applications. While the current methods are simple, it is anticipated that better, smarter methods of evaluation will evolve, so the person concerned needs to be flexible and agile in their thinking with regard to this likelihood.
In summary:
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic lab technician
Working under the management of the laboratory manager
Training will be given
Practical aptitude fitting for a laboratory environment
Ability to perform routine, and some non-routine product testing reliably
Attention to detail with respect to execution of procedures
Fastidious record-keeping habits
