Lab Technician - 6 Month fixed term contract with the view to go permanent!
Our client, a reputable manufacturer with an international presence, is looking for a Laboratory Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative business with strong core values and an excellent reputation for being a great employer.
The laboratory Technician will be a member of the site Quality team and will be responsible for the delivery of quality control related data through the execution of laboratory analysis.

• Hours of work: 12pm - 8pm or 1pm - 9pm

The Job:

• Conduct sampling and sample management as required by the site monitoring and measuring plan.
• Apply lab techniques and practices in the execution of every analysis.
• Employ chemical, instrumentation, and microbiological techniques to generate laboratory data for products and samples.
• Conduct basic problem solving to address and validate anomalous results as required.
• Ensure compliance to world class housekeeping standards.
• Conduct audits and generate daily, weekly, and monthly records that support operations with establishing the status of site quality.
• Play an active role in the laboratory team to deliver a high level of service.

What You'll Need:

• Ideally educated to Degree or Diploma level in a science-related field.

• Knowledge of laboratory health and safety practices (e.g., sampling, weighing, pipefitting, titrating, etc.).
• Good knowledge of laboratory health and safety practices.
• Proficient in using basic data tools (such as Excel) for recording.
• Good communication and problem solving skills.
