They are now seeking a Laboratory Technician. This position will be based in Ascot, Berkshire and is a part-timepermanent role.
Our Client will consider candidates who are seeking to work during school hours, term time only.
Job Purpose
- Our Client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our cosmetics raw materials research and development team
- The successful candidate will conduct experiments, formulate cosmetic products and ensure the highest quality standards in our laboratory

Key Responsibilities
Formulation Development:
- Collaborate with the R&D team to create and optimise cosmetic formulations, including skincare, haircare and bodycare
- Conduct experiments to test and evaluate the performance, stability, and safety of cosmetic products and raw materials
- Keep abreast of industry trends and source innovative raw materials, packaging and supplies
Testing and Analysis:
- Perform a variety of tests to assess the quality, efficacy, and stability of cosmetic products
- Analyse raw materials, intermediate products and finished products using appropriate laboratory equipment
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures and results
Quality Assurance:
- Maintain quality control measures to ensure the consistency and safety of our products
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all formulations and products comply with local and international regulatory requirements
- Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory submissions as needed
Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as necessary. Keep the lab clean and tidy
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc or equivalent in Chemistry, Cosmetics Sciences, or Life Sciences, or a related field
- Our Client will also consider a candidate with Science A levels and aptitude
- An enthusiasm for Cosmetics is a must
- Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to present findings clearly
- The ability to commute to Ascot on a daily basis
In return, our Client is offering a basic salary of c£22,000 per annum pro-rata plus benefits. (Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience. Salary is based on a 35 Hour week pro-rata which equates to £12.09 per hour).
