About the role
Join us as a Landed Estates Commercial Banker
- In this important role, you’ll develop and help lead a top performing team in the Landed Estates sector in the North of England, providing mentoring and coaching support to achieve high employee and client satisfaction
- You’ll be expanding the size and quality of our client base by initiating new relationships, developing existing ones and building relationships with key stakeholders
- You’ll maintain a high level of segment, industry and product knowledge and share this knowledge with colleagues
- You'll be developing your career profile as you help us shape the future of our business and build lasting client relationships
What you'll do
As an experienced Landed Estates Commercial Banker, you’ll be delivering financial results, elevating people’s capability and enhancing operational and internal effectiveness while making sure that appropriate policies and procedures are consistently followed. You’ll identify client needs and advise on suitable Coutts products and NatWest Group solutions, including Lombard, Mentor, and NatWest Markets to address protection, risk management and other complex areas.
Ultimately, you’ll drive and deliver value to our clients, and operate a fully compliant culture.
In the course of your work, you’ll also be:
- Providing coaching and performance evaluations to your direct reports
- Delivering the right business solutions for each client’s individual needs, making sure that these are cost effective for the client and the bank
- Managing pricing within agreed parameters and negotiating effectively with clients to maximise income and profitability
- Using Coutts and NatWest Group content and events to engage clients
- Developing and maintaining a network of business introducers
- Maintaining up to date pipeline and completed sales records
The skills you'll need
Ideally, you’ll already hold an ACIB, Chartered Banker or equivalent qualification, and you’ll have the ability to build trust and demonstrate value. You’ll also need the ability to empower colleagues and enable change in the workplace. You'll have proven experience working within the Landed Estate sector, ideally in the northern territory
You’ll also be expected to have:
- The ability to lead by example and drive the business strategy
- Previous work experience of collaborating across departments
- The ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills across all levels
- Robust risk assessment, monitoring and control skills across commercial clients
- Knowledge of credit, regulatory, operational and compliance policies
- The ability to plan effectively and perform under pressure
