Landfill Gas Engineer

Landfill Gas Engineer required. Our client is a well-established specialist in Energy generation equipment. They are looking to recruit a Landfill Gas Engineer to undertake a range of remedial and maintenance operations at Gas fields throughout the North of the UK. The ideal candidate will come from a Landfill Gas background, have strong mechanical / Electrical maintenance and repair skills, ideally be gas qualified and will be based either in Yorkshire, Manchester, Carlisle or Newcastle.

Landfill Gas Engineer Position Overview

• Monitoring, measuring and auditing existing Gas fields to identify any faults or areas for improvement
• Remediating and improving Gas fields in accordance with senior management instruction
• Ensuring all Gas field works meet design specification with all relevant drawings and written instructions
• Fault find, maintain and repair Gas collection systems
• Prepare and perform accurate pumping trials and audits
• Using appropriate drawings, scope of works and CQA information to complete maintenance works
• Deal directly with spillages using pollution prevention equipment
• Travelling throughout the UK (Predominantly North of North Wales / Lincoln)

Landfill Gas Engineer Position Requirements

• In depth knowledge of the operation of Landfill Gas Generation / Control schemes essential
• Experience with Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) highly desirable
• A 360 and/or backhoe licence would be advantageous
• AutoCAD experience desirable
• Computer literate and proficient
• Full UK Driving licence
• Based in Yorkshire / Manchester / Carlisle or Newcastle postcodes

Landfill Gas Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary: £40,000 per annum
• 40-hour week Monday - Friday
• Company van and fuel card
• Holiday Package: 25 days + 8BH
