A dynamic consultancy in East Sussex is seeking a talented Landscape Architect to join their team. Every project is viewed as an opportunity to foster connectivity and enhance the well–being of both natural and human communities. They design public and commercial landscapes for a range of development types, with projects up to 5M in value.
About the Consultancy: This design consultancy is driven by a robust design ethos. The company has over 30 years of experience of major UK developments, planning and designing projects, environmental impact assessments and Masterplanning. They operate an 'open–door' approach, embracing co–design with other sectors and maintaining strong communication channels with consultants, local communities, councils, and stakeholders. They believe in the power of an integrated approach, where problems are more easily solved as part of a wider design team.
Ideal Candidates: The consultancy is seeking Landscape Architects with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Ideal candidates will be chartered or on the path to chartership. Essential qualities include technical proficiency, strong design acumen, demonstrable experience of landscape planning, and experience in leading projects, managing teams, and client interaction.
Experience: 3–5 years in landscape design
Qualifications: Chartered or in progress towards chartered status
Skills: Proficiency in Revit (training provided), AutoCAD, Photoshop, and InDesign. Strong technical skills and design capabilities.
Certification: Willingness to obtain CSCS health and safety certification upon joining
Attributes: Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Strong foundation in landscape design principles and a willingness to grow within a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage landscape design projects from conception to completion.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other consultants, local communities, councils, and stakeholders.
Develop and retain strong communication channels within the design team.
Contribute to the creation of inspiring outdoor environments that enhance communities and enrich lives.
