Salary Job Title: Production Engineer - Lathe Area Department
Location: Mildenhall
Hours: Various Day & Night shift patterns available
Join a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you'll be responsible for maintaining 16 Multispindle Lathe Machines and associated equipment operating 24/7!
Key duties include:
* Utilising a range of tool room/workshop-based machinery.
* Proficient in Lathe Machines, preferably Multispindle, with 5-10 years of experience in a production environment, ideally on a 24/7 or shift basis.
* Demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude to diagnose machine wear and component quality faults.
* Being disciplined, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
* Providing support to the Lathe Area Department beyond regular working hours when necessary.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards and excellent communication skills to interact with personnel at all levels.

Key Responsibilities Include:
* Assisting the Department Head in maintaining product output in the Lathe Area Department.
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
* Supporting Lathe Machine production to ensure continuous output.
* Training new and existing staff.
* Diagnosing and repairing Lathe Machines and associated equipment.
* Using maintenance software for task management.
* Providing assistance to colleagues and service engineers as needed.
* Fulfilling any additional requirements associated with the Lathe Area Department.
