Laundry Operative

General Operatives required in Chester, CH1 - NIGHT SHIFTS (5PM - 5AM, 3PM - 11PM)

We're currently recruiting for multiple general operatives for our client based in Chester, CH1. Our client specialises in rental linen goods which are supplied to hotels, hospitals and other indsutries. These positions would be straight onto a temp to perm contract, so after a 12 week period you will be offered a permanent contract with the client.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the production and packing of linen sheets.
- Setting up washing machinery ready for production.
- Operating machinery and following procedures as followed; clipping linen to be hung out, moving stock through the warehouse, then to use the folding machine to prepare the goods for despatch.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain a high standard of work.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
- Possess a proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks performed.
- Capability to follow instructions carefully and complete tasks within set timeframes.
- Strong work ethic, demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn.

Shift patterns and pay rates:

Monday to Friday on nights, starting off on a 5pm to 5am shift. This will then move onto a 3pm to 11:30pm shift after the first few weeks.

Pay rates are between £11.00 and £12.25 for these positions.
