Laundry Operative- Ballymena
Our Ballymena Operations Centre is looking for a permanent Laundry Operative, someone who can support the day-to-day running of the depot and maintain our high standards of our floorcare laundering services. If you have experience in either production, manufacturing or within commercial laundry operations, this may be the role for you!

The role of Laundry Operative with phs will involve:
· Ensure all matts are washed and service to a high-quality standard.
· Ensure all laundry equipment and associated items are maintained according to manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
· In the event of machinery breakdown, undertaking minor works to fix the problem or notify the Laundry Support Manager.
· Cover colleagues whilst on holiday by driving a phs van visiting our customers premises to collect and replenish our floor care products and ensure mats are laid out in the correct locations.
· Ensure the changeover procedures are followed at the end of the shift and any relevant information is passed on clearly.
· Report and relay accurate production figures when required
· Apply the detailed application of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. This includes the use of all machinery.
· In the event of any emergency ensure appropriate assistance is called and process is followed
The ideal candidate for a Laundry Operative with phs will have:
· Full UK manual Driving Licence for a minimum of 12 months (Subject to insurance requirements), with a maximum of 6 points.
· Understanding of laundry systems, machinery, and processes
· A methodical and logical way of working
· Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with individuals both orally and in writing
· An ability to learn and adapt to new processes and new systems
· Creative approach to problem solving
